Jeff Bridges Lists Malibu Land Lost in Palisades Fire Sale

Actor Jeff Bridges and his siblings, including his brother Beau Bridges and their sister, have listed their Malibu family estate for sale following its destruction in the Palisades Fire. This property, located on La Costa Beach, was inherited from their parents Lloyd and Dorothy Bridges.

The original residence, a two-story house with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, was first put up for sale in July 2024 for $9.2 million. On January 7, 2025, the day the Palisades Fire started, the price was reduced to $8.85 million. Since the home burnt down, the cleared land is now listed at $4.37 million after an initial asking price of $4.95 million.

Jeff Bridges’ Malibu Property Sale Reflects Broader Impact of Fire

At 76, Jeff Bridges, famous for roles such as “The Dude” in The Big Lebowski and his Oscar-winning work in Crazy Heart, lives primarily in Santa Barbara. He is among several celebrities affected by the Palisades Fire, which also damaged homes belonging to Ricki Lake, Mel Gibson, and Paris Hilton.

Future Prospects for the Malibu Land

The change from a family home to vacant land marks a significant shift for the Bridges property. The sale not only represents a loss for the family but echoes the larger devastation faced across Malibu due to the fire. How the land will be redeveloped remains uncertain, reflecting the ongoing challenges for those impacted by this disaster.
