The show, based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel, is set to premiere worldwide on April 15, 2026.

Produced by A24 and created by Emmy Award winner David E. Kelley, the eight-episode Apple Original will debut with three episodes, with new installments arriving every Wednesday until May 20, 2026. The story captures the struggles of its titular character, making the Elle Fanning Margo Money Troubles theme central to the narrative.

Plot Explores Margo’s Challenges Raising Her Child

The series follows Margo, played by Elle Fanning, who faces significant life changes after becoming pregnant by her professor, portrayed by Michael Angarano. Shyanne, Margo’s mother, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, expresses shock and disbelief upon learning about the pregnancy, recalling Margo’s earlier ambitions.

Choosing to leave college to raise her son Bodhi, Margo seeks ways to support herself financially. She turns to OnlyFans, with unconventional assistance from her father, a former professional wrestler named Dr. Jinx (Nick Offerman), and her roommate Susie (Thaddea Graham). Together, this unlikely team helps Margo manage the realities of single parenthood and economic survival.
