As the wife of a hereditary peer, Curtis is styled as Baroness Haden-Guest, though she does not use the title.
Curtis is a recovering alcoholic who has spoken openly about her sobriety and has called her own recovery the greatest achievement of her life. She is a close friend of actress Sigourney Weaver and is the godmother of actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
